Momoka Gomi

Momoka is a textile artist based in Nottingham who specialises in hand-woven fabric. Through her training in Japan to become a Kimono Dress at 17, she learnt the value of textile. She works on a 16 shafts dobby loom, weaving art-let pieces and heirloom quality garments. Her interest in memory and how it is recollected in our brain delicately decays over time. She took her to explore creating a distressed feature on hand-woven fabric surfaces.
